What began as a 2,700 sf home with a small, dated master suite, no garage, and no dedicated workspaces is now a 4,200 sf modern coastal sanctuary in the heart of Coral Ridge.
For this global technology executive and spouse, STUDIO 818 delivered a transformative expansion: a new floating glass master suite, dual home offices, a serene yoga retreat, and a reimagined facade that feels as if it were always meant to be.
The result is more than 1,500 sq ft of new space with bespoke modern coastal design built to elevate daily living while blending seamlessly with the home’s architecture. This is modern coastal living, distinctly realized.

This Coral Ridge project began with a clear objective: transform a dated home into a modern coastal retreat that supports both productivity and relaxation. The clients—a global technology executive and spouse—envisioned a residence that could house dual careers, wellness routines, and a sense of sanctuary. STUDIO 818’s design-build concierge process delivered over 1,500 sq ft of new space while seamlessly integrating the expansion with the existing structure.
Floating Glass Master Suite as the Focal Point
The heart of the remodel is a floating glass master suite with two walls of glass and a dramatic 90-degree corner. More than 23 feet of movable impact glass dissolves boundaries between indoors and out, embodying Fort Lauderdale’s indoor–outdoor lifestyle. This distinctive design detail sets the tone for the entire modern coastal renovation—light-filled, effortless, and connected to the landscape.
Dedicated Work and Wellness Spaces in Coral Ridge
Two custom-designed home offices provide privacy and focus, ensuring the couple can work efficiently without compromise. Just steps away, a yoga studio retreat was created with hidden triple-bypass doors that open wide to a wall of glass overlooking the pool. This thoughtful addition infuses wellness into the rhythm of daily life, merging utility with tranquility.
