After moving down from NYC a few years ago, we finally decided to put some roots down and purchase a home in South Florida. We found a unique non-Florida style home but the inside needed some TLC as it was original to the mid-1990s. As with any projects, there are unexpected costs but Janie provided cost effective alternatives while balancing our wish lists and being realistic about what is possible.

Timeline wise, we were slightly behind but only because of Hurricane Irma, which was an act of God so no one's fault. We came close to being on time as possible and I know Janie really pushed her trades to be a priority, which I appreciated.

"My husband and I hired Studio 818 to help us with the remodel/update of our 1970s vacation house in Delray Beach, Florida. As we live in California, it was very important to us that we have someone “on the ground” who could ensure that her architectural design plans were followed by the general contractor and the sub-contractors.

We initially chose her because we liked her style, simple but sophisticated. We visited one of her completed projects and were impressed by the details and overall “look”.

Janie worked very well with our general contractor. They told me they were impressed by her professionalism and detailed architectural drawings. (It seems there are some designers who do not provide adequate direction).

"My husband surprised me with a visit from Studio 818 along with a proposed remodel of our kitchen. While most people would be elated by this news, I was nervous about the amount of work involved and who would manage the details of the job. We had been burned in the past by local contractors.
